Capture One Galleries Guide and FAQ

Join a Gallery in a web browser

In order to open the online collection, all you need to do is open the link we send you in a browser on your preferred device. (A laptop or desktop is easier for larger galleries)

You can view the photos and provide feedback by star rating, colour tagging, as well as adding comments. Your feedback will automatically update making it extremely easy to process final selects.

Sort and Search

Click the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner to access search and filters.

Input any text into the search bar to look for specific image names.

Filter

Use the filtering system to search by star ratings, colour tags, or images that have comments, or a combination of all.

Comment

Leave retouching notes or questions directly on an image. We can also reply to you here.

(Please let us know if you have added comments, as this does not automatically update in the same way as starring images)

FAQ

Are there any shortcuts?

You can use keyboard shortcuts to star rate and colour tag images in a Capture One Live Session.

Star Rating and Colour Tagging:

  • 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, where '0' resets the rating
  • q, w, e, r, t, y, u, I, where 'Q' resets the tag

Navigation:

  • Left and right arrow key to navigate to the left and right
  • Escape (Esc) key to return to the gallery

What if someone else wants to rate the images seperately?

This is where using a combination of stars and colours are really helpful - for example you can 5 star, and someone else can green-tag, and you can use the filter system to see if there are any overlapping shots.

Please note - we may override these settings after final selects are chosen, while creating final outputs for retouching.

How long can I access my Gallery for?

Galleries will automatically expire 30 days after being created, but you can ask for a fresh gallery to be created if needed.
